The Killer...Single Again!!!

Great Balls Of Fire...

HERNANDO, Miss. (AP) — A judge in Mississippi has approved a divorce settlement between Jerry Lee Lewis and his sixth wife, Kon-artist Kerrie Lynn McCarver Lewis.

It's been a long day and it's been an expensive day," Lewis said outside the courthouse.

The Commercial Appeal, quoting sources familiar with the case, said Kerrie Lewis, 42, would receive $250,000 immediately and $30,000 a year for five years.

Lewis, a young and healthy stud of 69, is known for such hits as Great Balls of Fire and Whole Lotta Shakin' Going On is available to any interested young wimin'.

He married the gold-digging Kerrie Lynn McCarver on April 24, 1984. They lived together at his 40-acre ranch near Nesbit, just south of Memphis where she "managed" his merchandising and fan club.

Lewis also will pay $20,000 in child support annually for four years for 18-year-old Jerry Lee Lewis III, the newspaper reported.

Lewis will keep his ranch.
"Sure, I plan to live there," Lewis told the newspaper. "It's been my home for about the past 40 years. That's where I'm going to be."

Jerry Lee had accused Kerrie the slut of adultery and she had questioned his marital fidelity.

She claimed to have married the Killer for a million good reasons. She believed her husband's income topped $1 million annually.

J.W. Whitten, Lewis' road manager, said uncertainty about court dates had prevented Lewis from accepting a number of long-term bookings.

Whitten said the settlement clears the way for Lewis to resume a regular concert schedule and to complete work on an album scheduled to be released this fall.

"We leave for Europe June 24," he said. "We needed this to be over just so we could get back to making some money."

The Killer is loose again!

Killer's New 2005 Comeback Album!!!!

HURLEY'S EX CREDITED WITH SAVING JERRY LEE LEWIS LIZ HURLEY's son DAMIAN is being credited with saving rock 'n' roll legend JERRY LEE LEWIS' life after signing him up to record a new covers album with a number of rock greats.

Film producer STEVE BING, a long time fan of the fallen GREAT BALLS OF FIRE star, and pal JIMMY RIP have reportedly pumped $1 million (GBP526,000) into Lewis' comeback album, which features collaborations with RINGO STARR, ERIC CLAPTON, SIR MICK JAGGER and KEITH RICHARDS among others.

And Lewis' manager/daughter PHOEBE insists the offer to record the much-anticipated album, which is due out later this year (05), gave her ailing father a spark of life.

She tells newspaper the LOS ANGELES TIMES, "I was so worried about him that I moved back in with him about five years ago. He was in bad shape, very depressed , very poor diet, problems with his marriage (to KERRIE LYNN McCARVER).

"We didn't know what to make when Steve and Jimmy showed up. They told us they wanted to help make his music come to life again... They've done just that."

Lewis himself admits recording the album with Rip and Bing has given him a new lease of life: "When you have people like this working with you and Keith Richards and GEORGE JONES wanting to record with you, it's wonderful."

The album features Lewis' version of LED ZEPPELIN's ROCK + ROLL and a new version of THE BEATLES' I SAW HER STANDING THERE with on-off touring partner LITTLE RICHARD on backing vocals.

Party At Neverland Tonite - Everyone Under 13 Free!

A jury rightfully acquitted Michael Jackson on Monday of molesting Gavin Arvizo at his Neverland ranch, vindicating the pop star who was the victim of mother-and-son con artists (led by mother Janet Ventura-Arvizo) and a prosecutor with a vendetta, Santa Barbara County District Attorney Tom Sneddon.

Snedden said

"We don't select victims of crimes and we don't select the family. I'm not going to look back and apologize for anything that we've done."

"He's just not guilty of the crimes he's been charged with," said Ray Hultman, juror on the case.

So, M.J. was found innocent of the charges and accusations by a jury of his peers. Doesnt' this make him a victim? Did he select to be a victim? Where is Snedden's righteousness on this?

Bottom line is that M.J. IS a victim. He is a victim of those who get their rocks off persecuting others who are different than they are. By accusing others of doing the evil things that haunt their own imaginations they cleanse themselves of their internal demons and guilts.
They are not afraid of the Michael Jackson's, they are afraid of themselves. People like Michael Jackson are like mirrors that reflect that darkest recesses and bowls of their souls.

M.J. Played in Snedden's court and under Snedden's rules, he deserves an apoligy now that Snedden's system AQUITTED HIM OF ALL CHARGES. Who is the real victim here and who's family really should have been put on Trial here?

You know what really scares all the accusers, that Michael Jackson just may be who he said he was along. Maybe he is Peter Pan. Maybe he just wanted to create a childhood he never had for himself and others. Maybe his intentions were pure. But, where does this leave all the accusers? It leaves them standing alone with nothing but their nasty dirty accusations, the product of their own dark and hallow souls, and whose intentions tried in vain to suck the little remaining life out of a fragile shell of a man.

Worst Cartoon Ever???

It may be the worst cartoon ever made, but that doesn't mean that they aren't great!

Where can I find Utica Club?

Just as young consumers might wear `70s-look sneakers, sip `50s cocktails or download `80s hair band tunes, many are bellying up to the bar for the beers Grandpa drank — maybe a Rheingold, a Leinenkugel's, or a Utica Club.

One brand that hopes that lightning can strike again is Utica Club in upstate New York.

Once a big seller in the Northeast, the brand was down to selling 100,000 cases annually just a few years ago. Most Utica Club drinkers were 55 plus. Then, Pabst-like, it picked up with younger people. Sales are up nine percent from last year, said Fred Matt, vice president for the Matt Brewing Company

"All of the sudden we're getting calls on a weekly basis: `Where can I find Utica Club?'"

Matt said the company is contemplating a modest ad campaign that could resurrect old jingles in bars and a cable TV commercial. Nothing too much, though: the company doesn't want to kill the positive buzz.

"More than anything," Matt said, "we're just letting it go by word of mouth,"

Where Is The Amendment Banning Pot???

SAN FRANCISCO - One of the lead plaintiffs in the medical marijuana case decided by the
U.S. Supreme Court on Monday says she'll defy the ruling and continue to smoke pot.

"I'm going to have to be prepared to be arrested," said Diane Monson, who smokes marijuana several times a day to relieve back pain.

The Supreme Court ruled that federal authorities may arrest and prosecute people whose doctors prescribe marijuana to ease pain, concluding that state laws don't protect users from a federal ban on the drug.

The Bush administration had argued that states, even the 10 states with medical marijuana laws, could not defy the federal Controlled Substances Act, which declares marijuana to be not only illegal, but of no medical value.

500 Distinguished Economists Say:
Legalize Marijuana

Dr. Jeffrey Miron, visiting professor of economics at Harvard University, has released a report that estimates that replacing marijuana prohibition with a system of taxation and regulation similar to that used for alcoholic beverages would produce combined savings and tax revenues of between $10 billion and $14 billion per year.

In response, a group of more than 500 distinguished economists -- led by 92-year-old Nobel Prize-winner Dr. Milton Friedman -- released an open letter to President Bush and other public officials calling for "an open and honest debate about marijuana prohibition," adding, "We believe such a debate will favor a regime in which marijuana is legal but taxed and regulated like other goods."

Miron's paper, "The Budgetary Implications of Marijuana Prohibition," argues that:

* Replacing marijuana prohibition with a system that treats marijuana like alcohol is currently treated would save approximately $7.7 billion in government expenditures on prohibition enforcement -- $2.4 billion at the federal level and $5.3 billion at the state and local levels.

* Revenue from taxation of marijuana sales would range from $2.4 billion per year if marijuana were taxed like ordinary consumer goods to $6.2 billion if it were taxed like alcohol or tobacco.

The Marijuana Policy Project, which funded the study, points out the impact of such sums. $14 billion would, for example, cover the securing of all "loose nukes" in the former Soviet Union in less than three years.

"As Milton Friedman and over 500 economists have now said, it's time for a serious debate about whether marijuana prohibition makes any sense," said Rob Kampia, executive director of the Marijuana Policy Project. "We know that prohibition hasn't kept marijuana away from kids, since year after year 85% of high school seniors tell government survey-takers that marijuana is 'easy to get.' “

Of course, as libertarians we’d much rather see marijuana totally decriminalized and completely free from taxes -- and alcohol treated the same way. The last thing the federal government needs is more money, from any source. Still, reform such as that proposed in this report would go a long way towards ending the worst aspects of marijuana prohibition.

“It’s absolutely disgraceful...” (Dr. Milton Friedman on Marijuana Prohibition)

“There is no logical basis for the prohibition of marijuana. $7.7 billion is a lot of money, but that is one of the lesser evils. Our failure to successfully enforce these laws is responsible for the deaths of thousands of people in Colombia. I haven't even included the harm to young people. It's absolutely disgraceful to think of picking up a 22-year-old for smoking pot. More disgraceful is the denial of marijuana for medical purposes."
